Changing the Face of the Profession through

Awareness

We seek to improve the knowledge and perception of the general public about the Medical Laboratory Science profession by emphasizing the role of Medical Laboratory Scientists in our country’s healthcare system. We also seek to raise awareness about prevalent disease conditions through our health articles. By commemorating WHO event days and ally global events, we celebrate every feat in Global Health.

Mentorship

Through seasoned mentorship projects, we intend to connect students with various capacity building opportunities; and also connect them with practicing Medical Laboratory Scientists who will serve as Mentors to boost their personal and professional development. we are working towards organizing educational sessions that will equip students with the knowledge and skills needed in the 21st century healthcare system.

Research

We want to build a culture of research and development among students by organizing training sessions focused on enhancing their knowledge and capacity in research writing and publication. We want to empower students with the skillsets crucial to developing and publishing quality research papers to contribute their quota to the general body of knowledge in the field of healthcare, worldwide.

World Antimicrobial Awareness Week 2020

November 18th – 24th

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is one of the world’s major public health problems. Every year, the World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (WAAW) is observed in November (18th-24th) to raise awareness about the threat AMR poses, and the need to curb its spread.

Antimicrobial resistance occurs when microbes change and become resistant to the drugs (antimicrobials) used to treat them. It makes the treatment of infections very difficult and expensive. The awareness of the general public about AMR must be increased and efforts must be made to desist from the overuse or misuse of antimicrobial drugs. Read more
